I don't know if you're familiar with this book. 

I've almost finished reading it and while it's written by someone that is probably too much of a fan to be fully objective for me it's linked so many TV shows from my past as to be fascinating. The same core group of creative people seemed to have worked on everything I enjoyed watching as a kid.

The Devil Girl from Mars film that I saw in the cinema as a youngster, that so frightened me then, had Gerry Anderson as part of the production crew.
