Just drinkin black coffee 'cos the milks off.
Slurpin my java like this reminds me of cowboys gettin their coffee straight from a pot on the stove.
That tin pot of coffee, with the spiral metal handle, always seemed to have been stood on the stove full of steamin black coffee.
Just what was that coffee? Ground beans? Was everything in the pot, grounds and all?
And just how long did that coffee stay fresh? hours? days? years?
Was there any truth in cowboys and ranch-hands enjoyin' endless cups of coffee like they did in Bonanza and the High Chaparral?
And don't get me started on eatin beans with a spoon from a metal plate, clatterin and clunkin as the Western day is long.
God how I would have loved to eaten those beans like that!
