Terrible new that Scoop. Another great icon of our childhood gone. And what an icon. I remember watching his Batman every week savouring his punch-ups with the Riddler, The Penguin and the Joker. His Batmobile has to be the famous car in the world and his batman and Robin duo even made it into the die cast toy we all had as kids. Now that's fame. Celebrities come and go these days like leaves in the wind but Adam West and his brilliant portrayal of Batman was and always will be a true legend in chidrens TV and the world of super heroes, in many ways the definitive Batman. RIP Mr. West, we will remember you.
He brought so much fun and energy to the role of Batman and was loved by a generation. When I think of Batman, I think of Adam West... he'll always be the embodiment of Batman for me. RIP Adam - our Caped Crusader

ReplyDeleteYes indeed Woodsy, another sad passing. What with Sir Roger leaving us not so long ago and now Mr West, our childhood heroes are fading fast. : (
