ARCO'S ACTION FIGURE VEHICLE
I like this toy I saw online but I've never seen one in the flesh. ARCO's Action Figure Vehicle, the idea being that it could be used with 3.75 inch action figures from any line. Not sure who's sat at the wheel but I imagine its an 80's character.
It looks a bit like a Fisher Price Adventure People design to me.
With behemoths like Kenners Star wars range, I can see the business sense of making general vehicles like this. Not knockoffs, something else!
This utilitarian idea reminds me of Cherilea's various armoured vehicles and tanks when I was a kid in the 60's, all able to be deployed with Action Man, Tommy Gunn and any other 12 inch figure. Maybe Barbie and Sindy ended up in them too in some households?
Do you like generic vehicles that can be used with figures like this readers? Did you have any?

Operation Blues and Royals: the Shopping List
To give me so something to look forward to when we get back from our Ruby Wedding holiday I've bid on a few items that I cant easily make at home for my Blues and Royals.
Here's the cheapo cheater's shopping list. Nothing more than £4.
One knee boot. Won!
STINGRAY IN LATEST RETRO MAGAZINE
I'm pleased to see that for those of us in the UK, the latest edition of the excellent Retro magazine features a short article on Stingray.
The magazine, which is full of nostalgia related film and TV material also has many other features including the sounds of the original Star Wars movie, Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom, and an intriguing article on cursed movies!
Tamiya Box Art Book
GALVATRONICS
A quick update on Galvatron.
A new battery contact and it works! The eyes light up fine and a couple of sound effects can be heard. I'm please because its the first real bit of battery unit re-wiring I've done. Nothing fancy but its a step forward.
An orange pen top made for a decent head laser too.
Operation Blues and Royals: Half Dressed!
My man is now half dressed. He has his shoulder strap, his back bag with cartouche and now his home-made belt is in place and all neat and tidy.
Looking ahead, there's a few things I've had to cheat on, as I'm very short on time, as were going on holiday. I've bid on a few things on Ebay:-
- all cheap and cheerful; a lovely ceremonial metal sword letter opener, an incomplete Palitoy helmet and a single Palitoy knee boot! Maybe our letter box will be full when were back!
