APOLLO IS ON TRACK FOR THE MOON CARRERA
This is cool, a German Carrera Apollo capsule track set from 1969. I would have loved it. Would you?

More Light Fantastic
Following on from Kevins Stardrive scratchbuild we featured recently, from the Blakes 7 series, here Kevin has put together the gizmo that measures the power of the stardive itself and gives an indicationnof porentual speed. Kev says he couldn't match 1980 BBC special effects, so added some lights instead!
UFOs- Unidentified Flotsam and Oddments
I bought a box of old tat this morning at a German car boot for two squid before the regen showers drove us away.
I've ID'd some of the toys over Frühstuck. Excitingly I think the silver knight parts are the Aurora Red Knight and they look battered enough to be original.
The Star Wars parts appear to bodies and limbs from the 1995 Power of the Force Boba, Darth Vader and Tie Fighter pilot along with a 1996 Shadow of the Empire Prince Xizor, a new one on me.
TTherte are some Elastolin viking torsos and bases, together with a mixed lot of old German plastic and metal bits like Crucifixes and a snowman.
The motley crew centre front is a mystery. Toy pistols, a raygun, a lizardskin arm, a solid metal cape, a red seat and so on. Any help with these readers and would be very dankbar!
A LOOK AT CROMFORD 2023 (PART 3) PUPPET MASTERS
Some more photos from last Sunday's Cromford Mills event, and this time it's a look at some of the many puppet replicas and recreations on display that have featured in Gerry & Sylvia Anderson's sci-fi puppet series from Fireball XL5 up to Captain Scarlet.
Most of the photos here are from Carl & Doug Stirling-Stewart's display, along with an original Doctor Fawn from Captain Scarlet which featured on Larry Peterson's display.
There was also a guest appearance of a Jeff Tracy puppet.
WHISTLING WITH MISTER JOE
Ah, the Bazooka Joe whistle ring!
What a ring of beauty, and along with Joe's waxy mini-comics, one that completely reminds me of those golden years back in the late Sixties and early Seventies when I was young and had not a care in the world except for blowing on my Bazooka Joe ring!
Oh, that sound!
That was the sound of childhood, of long hot shirtless summers, of Choppers, of Mum shouting 'tea's ready' through the open kitchen door, of Tizer, of Puffa Puffa Rice and of chewing big blocks of pink Bazooka Joe chewing gum till my jaws were sore!
Did you Bazooka Joe readers?
