I saw this Skyship 1 online in Japan and had to blog it. I mean, wow, it even lights up!
Have you got a fave Skyship 1 collectable or story?

I have an oldish plastic red Hot Wheels car. The other day I picked up what I think is another more recent gold one. Is it plastic? What's the score with Hot Wheels and plastic bodies? Are they unusual?
I have just fired up my laptop again after a gap of 5 weeks to do some blogging. Its taken at least 25 minutes to start itself up and is chugging and buffering as if its having to translate the complete works of Shakespeare into Klingon before it starts.
Its such a complete pain in the arsch.
This is in complete contrast to my new smartphone, which is an absolute breeze and worked instantly and perfectly every time I used it abroad this past month. It fires up in a milli-second. There is no wait at all. Its just small.
So I have to ask myself - apart from Apple and it's iPad tablet - why don't mobile phone companies simply make a version of a smartphone that's much bigger and folds in the middle like a laptop.
A lap-phone?
I can't stop car bootin!
This week's Yorkshire catch is pictured. No space toys but some new old die-casts.
Have a look at this Japanese modeller's launch bay for his Thunderbird 2. It actually works! What do you think?
Here‘s my German catch of Flohmarkte Superfast with the odd Super King and a few recent cars from Blighty for good measure. For the last month I‘ve patched up a handful of these motors whilst sat on my Father in Law´s sunny balcony listening to him tell me stories of his evacuated childhood.
My faves are the big yellow camper and the shiny red jag in the middle.
What‘re yours?
Seeing as I keep finding oldish Hot Wheels cheap I thought I might as well take a leaf out of Wotan's book and start collecting them too. Just when they come along in charities and boot sales - like Superfast. I've no real targets and I'll leave redlines to Wote 'cos I never see any!
Here's what I got in charities in Germany. Oldest to newest, left to right, front to back. First left is 1974. Back right is 2002. I really like HW with the straight Hot Wheels lettering on the base and not the flame.
Do you collect Hot Wheels readers?
