Here‘s my German catch of Flohmarkte Superfast with the odd Super King and a few recent cars from Blighty for good measure. For the last month I‘ve patched up a handful of these motors whilst sat on my Father in Law´s sunny balcony listening to him tell me stories of his evacuated childhood.
My faves are the big yellow camper and the shiny red jag in the middle.
What‘re yours?
It's the Pink metal flake with mint clear windows one! I still have one of those from my childhood!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't remember what it was in answer to your question. I thought it was maybe a Vauxhall, so I copied your photo, cropped it down to just that car and ran it through Google Lens. With only one false positive on a similarly coloured Lamborghini, it came up with the right answer, Vauxhall Guildsman!
I love this new technology!
You love the Lens!
DeleteFurther to the Vauxhall Guildsman, here's a fascinating webpage about the original "real" car!

Fascinating Looey!
DeleteI never realised the Guildsman was a real car!
ReplyDeleteApart from the two space models, I like the De Tomaso Pantera's and the Rolamtic Range Rover. Is thata green Chevy Astro at 7 o clock on the inner ring?
ReplyDeleteYep. It's a knock-off.
DeleteSpeaking of real cars, I just picked up a Redline Torero and its apparently loosely based on the Dodge Charger concept car - another of your favourites Woodsy!

Well done Wote! That is such a cool website!
DeleteA Catherine-wheel of diecast colour and design. Lovely layout, Woodsy.
