It started in issue dated 20th October, 1979, and continued until October, 1980, and was written by the p Angus Allen, and drawn by Martin Asbury.
I'd more or less stopped buying Look-in by then, and, being a Space: 1999 fan I probably only picked the odd one up if it had a Space: 1999 cover, during the time when Look- In ran their Space:1999 strip.
.
Yep, I remember the Look-in Comic strip. All original stories. When Galactica finished its run in the comic they then moved onto a Buck Rogers in the 25th Century comic strip. I also remember the Marvel comic of Galactica that was imported into the UK. This came out a little before the Look-In version as Look-In started their strip only when the series was being shown on ITV. The Marvel comics covered the the original movie (edited from the 3 part TV episodes 'Saga of a Star World') and the following two parter 'Lost Planet of the Gods' and then moved on to original stories. As an aside I seem to recall that Galactica was originally only shown in the UK on TV on the London Weekend ITV region so we in Yorkshire never did get to see the show until a few years later and even then they never showed the 3 part pilot episodes, though the movie version of them had been shown earlier. I think it was only in the 1990s when BBC2 repeated the series in their 6pm SF slot that I got to see the 3 parter for the first time. I believe Granddreams also brought out a Galactica annual that had comic strips and stories.
