Spain's terrific Coman Boys and Airgam line had its own Moon Fargo style vehicle. Check out this film footage. There's loads of them on that Coman moon! What do you think? Did you have some Coman Boys?

DO YOU HAVE A FAVE T-SHIRT?
I think I had a favourite T-shirt as a kid. It was brown and had a sort of squashy decal on the front but can't recall what.
As a teenager I wore a white Nashville T-shirt a lot. The word Nashville was in huge swirling letters.
Grown up I got a green Star Wars T-shirt somewhere and haven't stopped wearing it. Its got a stormtrooper helmet outline on the front with a purple stripe through it. All very faded now with holes in and the collar is fraying like mad.
God I love that T-shirt, the comfiest thing I own.
Did you or have you a favourite T-shirt readers?
THE MOON FARGO FROM MOON ZERO TWO
I love the Moon Fargo in Moon Zero Two. Do you?

I saw the movie as a nipper in the Sixties. The Wells Fargo always reminded me a bot of the ANT in the Project SWORD Annual. I suppose my Dinky Lunar Bug sprang to mind as well as I played space games in the carpet.

RISING POWERS
I've always loved the rising treads of the Project SWORD Moon Ranger box art, that rearing up.
The upbucket view lends it an exciting movement on the moon's jagged surface.
So when I saw this Masudaya Snow Mobile's box art I thought yes, that's similar, as it rides the ups and downs of the polar ice sheet.
This one was for sale on the Bay in the American Mid-West so I've borrowed a few snaps. Its an amazing looking toy and the polar regions have always generated some excellent toy vehicles.
I wonder if it really could handle snow?
Did anyone have this toy or indeed the Moon Ranger above [which is one I had as a kid] ?
LANARD TURBO CAR 1985
Now that is a turbo monster right there? Did you have anything like this?

DID YOU GET STUFF FROM CATALOGUES?
Did you get anything from catalogues as a kid?
You know, those big thick books of goodies and gifts like Kays and Grattan. I'm not sure how they worked now but I think my Mum paid in and then bought things, especially at Christmas.
There were thinner books too like Green Shield stamps, although I can't recall what you could get from a book of them. I remember my parents licking the perforated stamps and sticking them in.
The one thing I still have that was definately from a catalogue is a pretend samurai sword my Mum and Dad got me around 1972 or 3. God, I was pleased with that sword.
What about you?
PLAYSKOOL BIGFOOT TRUCK
In 1983 I was 22 and too old for a Bigfoot but they look so cool. Here's the TV ad. Did you have a bigfoot?

TO THE ETERNAL SEA: RICHARD DONNER RIP
Richard Donner died yesterday aged 91.
He was a top drawer Hollywood filmmaker who's hand was on the tiller of many iconic movies. the News is focusing on The Goonies, an important film for a late Seventies generation chomping popcorn to the gang's antics in 1985.
Donner also gave us the Christopher Reeves' Superman films, milestones in bringing DC to the big screen and icons for a certain age-group. He also produced that wondrous flick The Lost Boys and later kicked off Marvel's new onscreen universe with the X-Men.
But its an earlier film he directed that really gets my vote and one I adored as a teenager, The Omen. Starring Gregory Peck and Lee Remick I can almost replay every scene in my mind and I think I could the recite lines as they played out on the screen. On the slimy heels of the Exorcist the Omen was more palatable to a lot more people and was seen by many as it didn't get banned!
The whole iconography of the Omen was terrific; the Dr. Who priest, the lightning rod impaling, the Rottweilers of the old Cerveteri cemetery and the knives of Megiddo. And who can forget seeing THAT scene as a teenager, the one with the spinning head and the sheet of glass!
And so, as the eternal sea rises as cited in the film, I say goodnight to Richard and thank him and his family for his marvellous films. Rest in Peace.
Which of his movies did you like readers? Have you any collectables from them?
