NEW DISCOVERY: T IN A CIRCLE SPACE VEHICLE VARIATION: NASA SPACE PATROL

This toy and box has not been on Moonbase before.

Its a variation of the T in a Circle/ Tai Hing Space Vehicle shown below.

Its the NASA Space Patrol. I assume its T in a Circle/ Tai Hing but this is unconfirmed. Can anyone help? More pictures?

The Origin of the Scramble Bug Tyres

I've featured this before but I just love it so much. The Marsh Buggies of the old South and widely covered at the time in American and British transport magazines and newsreels. The tyres are deadringers for those on the 1967 Project SWORD Scramble Bug toy - click on the labels for pics of the toy. What do you think?

AN EXPLORER 12-STYLE MONSTER TRUCK

This multi-wheeled monster truck is pretty cool. Released by Kao Shak Toys it also has a remote control.

It recalls the multiple wheels of the short-lived but brilliant Explorer 12 toy range like this Medics Leader Vehicle.

Mike Noble did the artwork for the advertising of Explorer 12, so he may have done the box art too!

When I Googled TIMPO I found Small Scale World and there Hugh had a link to Moonbase. One of the first of your blogs that I recall was your memories of Butlins and model boats. That was my first reply to one of your posts. Maybe having a readers survey of how MC was found would turn up a majority who Googled Spacex? I also enjoy Kid's blog, CRIVENS! Comics &Stuff.

Here are a couple of pics of my scratch-made 1/3 scale diorama, one in daylight and one at night which is a little closer to the actual scene in the movie (although I need to learn more about lighting!).
