Terranova's Soccer Action Replay Action Transfers

Sometimes it amazes me what I thought to collect and save. 

Having used Letraset from it's early days (inspired by William Rushton's Private Eye layouts) I had no interest in using it for play, though I did buy these Soccer sets for kids' gifts.

I'm surprised to find it was saved with the plastic Arsenal badge. I lived pretty much equal distant from both Arsenal and Spurs so couldn't really decide on loyalty to one or the other, so chose neither!

Deep Star Six Anyone?

Just started watching an old flick called Deep Star Six? 

Is it any good? Have you seen it?

SUPERHERO TOYS, GAMES, BOP BAGS CATALOGUE

I bought this from America in the early 00's for my old UK toy stall.

Its a comic style catalogue of Super Hero games, toys, books and games from the 1976.

It looks like a comic.

But its a catalogue!

There's a Spider-Man web shooter and Ricochet Racers ...

There's some Space 1999.

There's posters...

...a Batman ceramic clock and Marvel Mood Rings!

...Super Hero T-shirts

And the back cover, super hero baby rag dolls!

For some reason this catalogue comic just never sold on my toy stall and its still with me!

White Thunderbird 7 AKA Project SWORD Beetle

This is exciting for SWORDies like me.

This looks like a normal boxed Thunderbird 7 / Project SWORD Beetle by Imai.

But it contains the elusive WHITE version of the model!

The usual version is orange as pictured on the box.

I really like this white version and may look out for one in the future.

I think it was released in the 1980's.

I saw this beauty online and saved these pictures.

LAST ACTION HERO TOYS

Having failed miserably to stay awake whilst Last Action Hero was on TV I thought I'd check out old TV ads for the toys. Judging by the 4 on You Tube they must have been quite popular back in 1993. I wonder if they're collectable 25 years later?

The Last Action Hero Anyone?

I've never seen either the Last Action Hero or the Last Boy Scout.

I've seen toys from Last Action Hero especially Jack's car [not sure of the car's make].

Well I'm currently watching Last Action Hero and although its early days I think its bit of a mess. I'm unsure if I can watch it!

Have you seen either of these Last flicks? Maybe got some collectables?

BLAKES 2 ON POINTLESS

It would seem Servalan and Vila are finally working together judging by these screen grabs I took from last weekend's repeat showing of the BBC game show Pointless Celebrities.

Jacqueline Pearce and Michael Keating, two of the stars from the cult BBC TV series which originally aired between 1978 and 1981  took part in a charity edition of the daily game show and managed to get to the final.

Maybe they should have used the know all computer,  Orac as sadly, they couldn't come up with any pointless answers. 

Not to worry I'm sure the show hosts, Alexander  Armstrong and Richard Osman will be visited by some Federation Troopers in the not too distant future.

Space Submarine Oska II: a Stingray Mystery by Lance

Every once in a while I run across something online I've been in the dark about. Here's Doyushu Space Submarine Oska II which seems to be a moderately modified Stingray model.

I'd say it is quite rare.

Info is quite lacking on the web so far.A  release date of the space sub line is listed as early 1970's but my feeling is, based on the artwork style (which is quite Space Battleship Yamato influenced) that it is more likely late 1970's.

Yamato was on air 1974-75-ish so kits would have started showing up and influencing other manufacturers mid 70's. 

Fantastic Plastic lists the Andro Tiger which is the first of the Space Submarine series as being released in 1980's.

It also appears to have retained the rubber band powered propeller from the Stingray kit. http://www.qcocastore.top/space-submarine-oska-ii-doyusha-model-kit-p-7613.html&language=en

Their other space sub, Andro Tiger http://jungle-scs.co.jp/sysimg/proimg/titimg2/170/104000002218.jpg is another odd ball piece that seems to be a modified previous model. 

The upper nose reminds my of TB2 due to the wrap-around windows but also a bit of the Seaview. So I'm undecided in the base model as of yet. 

Based on pics at https://www.cybermodeler.com/special/cult2014/pages/a075.shtml which gives us some different views, I can see SR-71 influences also and the scale of it makes it being a Seaview kind of unlikely.
