I recently saw this 60s comedy Kaiju box on auction and was intrigued because it's like a big Cootie set ( I just cannot think of the name here in the UK).
The description says the box art features pachi style kaiju. Anyone know what Pachi means?
I think the British name for Cootie was Beetle ? Here in New Zealand the game was called Creepy Critters, and I always thought they looked like some sort of alien space monster, or the giant ants from the movie Them.

ReplyDeleteOf course, Beetle. Thanks Paul. They do look like THEM!
DeleteIn this case pachi means knock off or bootleg. Pachi Kaiju were very popular knock off monster toys in 70s Japan.
