This CLIM extravaganza is a classic multi-wheeled monster.
Interestingly, the listing on Spain's Todocoleccion suggests that the red driver cab is somehow linked to a Star Wars Mini Rig!
What do you think?
Here's two I saw on Ebay.
Is it the MTV-7?
or ISP-6?
Definitely the ISP-6 Woodsy.
ReplyDeleteI agree Mish.
DeleteI had one of these. Originally, it had a cover that was based on the ISP6 cockpit roof. Mine was missing too. Bill
ReplyDeleteCool. How did they get hold of the ISP6 moulds I wonder?
DeleteI suspect the toy was kluged together using bits of existing toys ( much like Mr. Meddings' work practices) then the finished piece would have been pantographed to engrave new moulds...
DeletePantograph? I had one as a kid. You could copy drawings with it. Is that the same Looey?
DeleteSame basic principle. The Mini rigs would be freely available, so they would just nick a cockpit and stick it on. The wheels were used in another, smaller Clim space toy. Clim also made the looky likey Survey Vehicle toy with the huge central tyre that I've got. I'd love to see a Clim catalogue! Bill
DeleteNot sure what freely available means Bill. Surely Clim manufactured their toys themselves but maybe recreated the moulds of the mini rig ISP 6.
