Being an American, I never ran into Action Man, but we had similar GI Joe figures. Anyway, one thing I just heard, that I did get a laugh out of on Action Man:
In the first Tom Baker episode of Dr. Who, "Robot" the men from UNIT brought up a tank to deal with the giant robot. It rolls partially into frame, and the turret starts to turn before getting blasted by the robot's disintegrator gun.
Well, apparently it was a tank from the "Action Man" toy set. And if you look, it's fairly obvious that the tank is being pushed by someone's out of shot hand, and then the turret turns by someone's out of shot fingers!
brilliant! Percy will be so proud
ReplyDeleteHaha, and his Sister!
