Appearing as part of my JR21 alerts, I saw this tin jetliner recently on the 'Bay, a fine old Chinese plane.
It's clearly related to the Chinese tin Moonship that a few of us own. Its from the same factory.
The box art is even better than the toy. Looking long and sleek it's got Fireflash vibes galore. The toy looks shorter than the illustration.
Is this a toy you own?
That looks a lot like the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter, complete right down to the wingtip fuel tanks, with the twin bubble canopies of the experimental XB-42 or XB-43 bombers, and finished in airliner markings. Possibly a Starfighter wing and fuselage unit, with a new forward fuselage and nose ? There looks to be a join just behind the canopies.
ReplyDeleteI like it!
DeleteWhat a neat use of the Starfighter!
Paul Adams is right - that is a mutation of a F-104 and a 707! And could not be cooler for that! SFZ
ReplyDeleteKapow!
DeleteCool! Reminds me of my Chinese Universe Rocket
