Another small cache of characters from today's midweek outdoor sale. The September sun was shining and the toy gods were smiling!
As I've reported before, Gen1 Transformers are this year's love and today an old ragged Optimus Prime said hello Woodsy, take me home.
The rest of the gang need ID'ing and some sprucing up.
The Pez looks like some unusual version of Baloo from The Jungle Book.
ReplyDeleteBaloo! Yes! Thanks Arto. I was pleased to find a PEZ without feet.
DeleteThe gorilla robot with a 6 on its chest is FLUFFI from the cartoon Bionic 6.
ReplyDeleteThe blue and orange blokes appear to be Matchbox’s MAC men.
Thanks Lance, you really know your figures. FLUFFI eh. I've never seen the programme but its a substantial die-cast and plastic toy.
DeleteMac men are the ripoff copies Action Jack. Softer plastic and bendier limbs. We just need a Gen 1 trailer for Opti now! Bill
ReplyDeleteha ha, the elusive trailer Bill! There's a bit of renovation needed on the Optimus, which I may have a go at DIY style!

ReplyDeleteThe blue and orange figures are deffo Acton Jack's and I had about 8 altogether. Although later in production Matchbox used pretty much the same figures for their MAC range except they had black hands. The original MAC figures where smaller and had a coloured section at the waist. For me the later figures where slightly out of scale for the vehicles as you can see in the later catalogues. I got the mountain set for Christmas and it was one of my best childhood Christmas presents ever.
ReplyDeleteCheers 70's Kid. i thought they were. I love those little boxed sets that came out, foreman, medic etc Action Jack was an interesting line. As it happens I sold a MAC Mountain Set a few years back, an impressive toy for sure and I can see why you liked it so much.
