I liked these Aoshima Moon Base Interceptors lined up and ready for action on a Japanese modelling site.
Even better are these two miniature colourful interpretations of Project SWORD vehicles, namely the Prospector and the Scramble Bug. The UFO SHADO3 ain't bad either!
Have you got any UFO or SWORD toys or models readers?
Those are really nice models. A great pity Airfix did not do a UFO Interceptor to go with their Captain Scarlet Angel Interceptor.
ReplyDeleteIn terms of space toys:

Fascinating stuff, never heard of Red Harvest!
DeleteI have a 1970s Dinky UFO Interceptor, a 1980s Imai Interceptor model kit (made up) and two 2010s Product Enterprises Shado Mobiles.
ReplyDeleteSend us a snap/s Mish, if Straker will let you!
DeleteI'm lucky enough to have both the Dinky Interceptor and the Dinky SHADO Mobile. The Interceptor has been featured on the blog last year when I repainted it to the proper colour. But I also did the same many years ago with a Mobile that I found in an antiques shop.
ReplyDeleteThe Mobile was in a bit of a state with no tracks, a bent rear axle and very badly toybox chipped and scratched. It was fun renovating it and painting it to the proper screen colour.
Lastly, my friend Cooky bought me a Konami UFO for my birthday a while back. All these beloved toys and now living in a display cabinet to keep them safe and sound.
With luck they'll outlast me!
A great collection Bill and worthy of display!
DeleteBig fan of UFO stuff. I've got the 3 Dinky toys, two of which are my originals. All the Product Enterprise ones except the badly weathered mobiles and the new dinky tribute issue. Also got all the Konami ones except the Shadair transporter which I'm still trying to get but not for silly money.
ReplyDeleteAnother fab collection Kev!
