Here are photos of the of Budgie Wolseley 6/80 Police Cars.
My large one on display behind a blue Brian from Magic Roundabout. The smaller ones are on my present train layout, outside the Police station and by a Police call box.
Aha - I had the red version of this, always wondered what it was! Also the AA motorcycle combo and another slightly sturdier one with rubber wheels and a AA landrover to go with it. All courtesy of my dad, who bought them, ostensibly, for me. Bill
If you look carefully at the body the car is a Morris 1000 with a stretched bonnet to accomadate the six cylinder, eighty horsepower engine. What I remember as a kid was reading the engine was a development of the one used in the SE5 aircraft from WW1

ReplyDeleteBeautiful car, and what a railroad layout! SFZ
ReplyDeleteI had one of those! In fact I may still! ....somewhere!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Terran, so stylish. Why don't they design cars like that now?
