These line drawings in the vintage We Land on the Moon colouring books are always a thrill, as so many are vehicles we know and love, especially from Triang SpaceX/ Golden Astronaut toys.
See what you think. Links to the fabulous and long-running Dreams of Space blog.
I had a similar colouring book as a kid, which had the Project Sword Moon Crawler and the Molab from 'Rocket Stories' in it too. Left the damn thing in a cupboard when I moved from my childhood home in 1969. Bill
ReplyDeleteHave you ever seen it again online Bill?
Deleteno and its not for want of trying either. I can vaguely recall it had a red or yellow cover, but wasnt directly Sword related. It was left behind with a Thunderbirds colouring book too, which had a black cover with TB2 on it.
DeleteI had a sneaky feeling that we found these pictures on MC years ago but I could just be day dreaming!
DeleteI had both the Tumble Bug and Snow Train card model books which I bought from Timothy White's the Chemist at a reduced price. I made them both up, so I'm glad Moonbase still has scans of those long lost (and enjoyed) Dreams of Space...
ReplyDeleteWell done on making them Looey! You were a modeller from the off!
