I got very lucky on Ebay. A lot of random and battered toys contained this! I had to fake the probes but I already had the badge to complete it. My second lunar orbiter in a short space of time, but carded and the other colour to my first one.

I'm well jeal! Looks stunning Kev!
ReplyDeleteThanks, I was surprised to see it. It is my only example of a carded SpacexII toy. Lucky it was the other colour or I really couldn't have talked myself into buying it!
ReplyDeleteDid you have to peel the blister back to insert the missing items?
ReplyDeleteI'm getting quite adept at gluing opened blisters back into place!
Thankfully, entropy had done its work, the blister virtually fell off. It's amazing that the spacecraft was still there. I put it back together with transpaseal.

DeleteA glorious find, congrats!
ReplyDeleteThanks. It's a nice thing!
ReplyDeleteWow - that was lucky kev - thats the colour I have. I bought one carded on ebay years ago, but the dipstick sent it to me in a jiffy bag! It got sat on by the postman, crushed and the envelope opened, losing one of the antennae. I wasn't best pleased. Bill
ReplyDeleteOuch! The seller of mine packed it well, with a plastic box secured over the blister. The probes and badge were already missing. It's still nice though.
ReplyDeleteWhat real spacecraft look like
