Its amazing what's on the 3d printing site Shapeways.
Here's a gorgeous little Lifting Body Space Glider a la Project SWORD and Triang SpaceX.
I wonder what else is on there!

That's an M2-F2 lifting body, like the one in the opening of "The Six Million Dollar Man" credits.
ReplyDeleteOh, and if anyone ever wanted to know:
The pilot of the lifting body that crashed on the film survived!
Glad he survived. M2 F2 is the inspiration for quite a few vintage space toys too Scott, which I collect. I've just got a yellow one!
DeleteIt's actually the M2-F3, having the extra tail in the middle. After the crash the M2-F2 was repaired and upgraded with the tail and new number. More here:

DeleteNice stuff! That's still a bit beyond my 3D modelling skills ATM. I'm still struggling to make a nice Zero-X MEV...
ReplyDeleteShow us when you're ready Looey!
DeleteOh my, I hope you can make your Zero-X MEV - that is such an iconic ship! SF_Z
DeleteHL-10 was my favorite
