I caught a glimpse of Miraculous on TV, a new kids show. As soon as I saw it I thought of Josie and the Pussycats from 50 odd years ago! What do you think?
Did you watch the Pussycats?

Postscript from Terranova47 in the US of A:
I had not heard of Josie and the Pussycats before now. A few months ago impressed by the fact our four year old grandson watched something other than Godzilla videos I purchased for him two 6 inch figures representing the main characters of Miraculous, Cat Noir and Ladybug.
He rejected the figures out of hand and as far as I know has never watched or mentioned Miraculous again.
He is back with his Godzilla obsession!
Here in the US Miraculous appears on Disney but in fact it is French, the stories based in Paris, well dubbed into English with rather charming animation and stories of teen angst.
ReplyDeleteGentle European, teen Spiderman stories based on French teens in school.
At one point my 4 year old grandson watched these shows in place of Godzilla, but that phase didn't last.
It sounds like a decent show Terran.
DeleteOf course I watched Josie and the Pussycats. A great show. Along with Scooby Doo.
ReplyDeleteClassics Paul!
DeleteJosie and the Pussycats in Outer Space was my fave!
ReplyDeleteYep, that was a great show!
DeleteLooking at those two images, the Pussycats were way hotter !
ReplyDeleteMy 9 year old self would have agreed too Mish!
DeleteI always fancied Josie, the redhead!
DeleteAgree with Mish on this one - comparing the classic 2D animation of Josie and the Pussycats with that tired 3D look of Miraculous, Josie & Gals win hands-down! I stopped watching animated cartoons when they morphed from 2D to 3D. 3D garbage is for a generation with no imagination. SFZ
