Just been down the local ReValued store with the Missus for a mooch. We're both knackered after the funeral week so its low-impact activity we need at the mo now we're back.
Besides some books for Grandkids and some bunting the Missus grabbed for the summer, I managed to bag a few action figures, which is always fun.
ID'ing them is even more fun so here they are among the pots.
The black-clothed figure I got bang on in the shop. After double-checking my trusty Action Figure collector book it is indeed that kooky Doctor of Chaos, Ian Malcolm from Jurassic Park The Lost World dated 1997.
The Wampa is dated 2007 Hasbro and appears to be a gaming figure, which I haven't got a scooby doo about. Same for the helmeted brown-shirted fella - marked LFL, its Star Wars but what? Stamped 60601 on his rear leg. Any ideas about these two readers?
This female figure has been to Moonbase before and like then I was gobsmacked who she is this time too. I won't spoilt it. Have a go! If all fails try Google Lens!
I was also drawn to this City worker in a bag of oddments but I left him in the shop for someone else. He reminds me of Action Jack style figures but the head is too childish for that line. Any thoughts?
Is the female figure an Angel from New Captain Scarlet?
ReplyDeleteYou got it Kev! Yep, that's her!
DeleteHi Woodsy, the Wampa is from a game/toy called Star Wars Attacktix and was packaged with a figure of Luke in his Hoth Gear. The idea was the figures either had a pull back and strike action or a missile firing weapon and could do battle. The other Star Wars figure is a Resistance trooper for the Star Wars-The Force Awakens line. And while i'm here, the Destiny Angel figure (for it is she!) should have a two part helmet and Spectrum Pistol ( I was very lucky to get both Destiny and Colonel White-can't remember where but it was cheap) hope this help as always.
ReplyDeleteIt really helped Steve. My belated Thanks for ID'ing these toys!
