Looking at Mark Bergin's toys again is like dying and going to tin heaven.
I first checked Mark's online treasures about 20 years ago and have dipped in occasionally ever since.

The tin toy that jumped out this time is Mark's amazing tin Thunderbirds car. Its such a cool idea by the Japanese makers to emblazon a simple saloon with all the classic Thunderbirds vehicles.

DeleteI love the way Japanese toy manufacturers got extra usage our of existing car moulds by reissuing them with characters printed on them. But you have to wonder how giant robots like Mazinger even fitted behind the steering wheel, let alone having pictures of their secret identities splashed over the bonnet and roof! I think one of the all time greats of this reuse was the Astro Boy Gyron car...
