I've always loved space chairs.
Major Matt Mason had a cool recliner in his Mattel space station, maybe the granddaddy of all toy space chairs.
Those Moonbase Alpha guys had some neat seats too from Mattel. Howzabout this for classy 1975 design! I remember chairs like that in airports!
Those Moonbase chairs were even elevated on an illuminating pedestal! How uplifting! Now where's my Moonbase chair!?
Arco flew the flag for fashion dolls too with their super cosmic Space Place.
Complete with back pack, console and what looks like a transporter beam.
But its that grandiose space chair that does it for me. Replete with a million flashing 'lights' its boxy outline is straight from Star Trek I would say.
It swivels too!
Did you have a fave space chair readers?
Kirk's command chair. I'm often tempted to build one.
ReplyDeleteYou have the Bridge Kev!
DeleteI too have the Bridge. I just bought the AMT U.S.S. Enterprise Bridge Set. This is a 1/32nd scale model of the Bridge from the original Star Trek TV series. The kit was originally released in 1975, but was revised in 2022, with extra wall sections, and additional figures. It includes Captain Kirk in his command chair. The box is really packed, and I am looking forward to getting started on it, once a couple of other projects are finished, and out of the way.
ReplyDeleteSounds great Paul. I look forward to progress reports. You have the comm!
