Hey there, I'm loving this restoration lark that's going around at the Moonbase these days... I'm using my 3D printer to replace missing parts or even make parts where none existed before!
A case in point, my Edai Grip Joe's Car never had tyres, just bare chrome wheels. I modelled and printed up some suitable tyres in a flexible resin.
I suppose I could have found some neoprene O rings that would have done the job -but where's the fun in that?
Keep on bodging!

It certainly improves the look of the model. Well done. Just had a look, that model came in some strange colours, red and blue as well as green.
ReplyDeleteSo you can 3d print in other materials now? Thats interesting to know. Ive just had a replacement piece for a model made in University. I didn't do it myself, got the tech boffins on the case!
ReplyDeleteGreat work Looey! You have this 3D malarkey taped! The skies the limit!
