This plastic Elvip Lyra military jeep caught my eye online.
It reminds me of the plastic Century 21 Toys Hurdler ...
But it also has a flavour of one of my big 3 tinplate toys I had as a kid in the Sixties, the wonderful Desert Patrol Jeep, a toy I managed to replace about 20 years ago.
Have you any Jeeps or did you have readers?
Jeeps were another iconic design for sooo many toys. Never had one myself but saw them everywhere during the 60s...
ReplyDeleteI agree, Jeeps were everywhere during our childhood Zigg. A classic for sure.
DeleteTonka jeeps - I had a mini Tonka military jeep back in about 1970 - there seems to hundreds of variations of the things. Blue, red, purple, military brown. With/out tops( white, brown, yellow, gold) thin wheels, buggy wheels, fat wheels.....it just goes on and on (and thats the mini Tonkas, the larger ones come in wrecker, fire, lifeguard, military and gawdknows how many other varieties)

DeleteYes, so flexible I agree Timmy. There must be thousands of toy jeeps out there, all enduring and trundling along.
