I think I've blogged this afore years ago, its the Chuan Shin 2001 P2ONEEL FLY SAUCER aka the Pioneer. I assume P2oneel was one way of saying it!
Its an interesting looking toy. What are its influences readers do you reckon?

I'm surprised to be the first to comment here, but this cool China Saucer is obviously "inspired" by the Flying Sub from Irwin Allen's fantastic TV series, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. I would not even be surprised if the company used the molds from an earlier Flying Sub toy they made. and just changed the colors and gussied it up for this new incarnation. Still, a cool toy! Gotta love those rip-offs and knock-offs!
ReplyDeleteYeah Zigg I reckon you've nailed it. I always get a few craft mixed up - the Spindrift in Land of the Giants and the small ship in the Fantastic Voyage and the Flying Sub. But this is the Flying Sub in all but name I agree.
