This is odd for me. I’m typing this on an iPad. My Missus needs my laptop so We’ve swapped. I’m really not used to tablets and find it a bit Like holding a slate. It’s also predicting my type and inserting capitals mid sentence. It’s slow going with one finger. Still it’s online so that’s good.
Whatever Google Apple tensions there might be it’s EBay that’s driving me bonkers at the mo. They seem to have to change things for the sake of change. It’s always been the same.
I love selling on EBay but infuriatingly they have done two things in April.
1. The buyer payments no longer go to PayPal but now go to our bank account mixed in with all our other domestic stuff. It’s a pain and more or less made PayPal pointless.
2. The seller summary magically vanished. I liked the seller summery a lot. eBay have bejazzelled it and taken it to another page. Why? I had to trawl through all this new gubbins to find the opt out button. Yay! I’m back now in Seller summary mode.
Have you had any experience of these issues readers?
Sorry I can't help Paul, iPads and any Apple product are not my thing. I know some people swear by them, unfortunately in my experience, I tend to swear AT them... A lot! And with more colourful language than even the most hardened docker can think up.
ReplyDeleteWe had some Apple products at Radio Hafren, and after an afternoon of wasting my life trying to get them to do what I wanted, and not succeeding. I had to be pretty much physically restrained from smashing them to tiny little pieces.
I had a chuckle at this Paul. Is that called Apple Rage?!£?
DeleteI like the 500-characters for feedback, I can give really good feedback now, and if I issue a negative or neutral, can explain exactly why, which cuts out a lot of the appeals!
ReplyDeleteH
Not noticed that Hugh. I hardly ever buy. Just sell. Not had a bad sale in years.
DeleteI used an iPad and kept hitting the Siri button instead of the return button. I got so tired of her asking how she could help me, that I told her where to go!
ReplyDeleteIn a huffy voice she said "You don't have to be rude"!
I just booted the whole thing out! No Siri, no problem... Heh, heh, heh!
Deleteha ha, that's hilarious Looey. Alexa talks to me and the missus now and then.
DeleteAh, the classic chuckit solution Bill. I like it!
There seems to be a problem with ebay blocking requests for combined postage.
ReplyDeleteIf one was into conspiracy theories could ebay be trying to increase it's percentage of the shipping charges?
I'm finding it hard to drill down into Ebay's fees since they changed to Seller Hub so who knows Terran. Could be.
