I've spotted a couple of LP toys this year online.
You know LP or Lik be. Sometimes their toys are listed as IDL too.
Here's the LP puppy. We've seen this before on Moonbase but its still nice.
This however is new to the blog, the LP Santa on Rocker.
It looks great with its box.
There's even a secret drawer!
and the all important LP logo and model number 1879.
Have you got anything like this readers?
That is really nice, with the wood grain effect on the chair being well done. I would say the wording on the box suggests this is a fairly modern item, rather than something from the 1960s or 1970s.
ReplyDeleteLooks like its 1986 Paul. Just spotted it on the blog on this LP catalogue page! https://projectswordtoys.blogspot.com/2019/02/hong-kong-toys-catalogue-1986-lp-and.html
DeleteOooer! Despite the typography suggesting a 70s origin, even 1986 is now squeaking into the vintage category!
ReplyDeleteDon'tcha feel old now?
(Mutters to himself in old person way) I must put some hair dye on my white whiskers...
It is, the Eighties are vintage Looey!
DeleteActually I based my estimate on the statement For Ages 3 and Up, in English and French, which I do not think was used on toys from the 1960s and 1970s ? Although I could be wrong on that. Also, if you look on the You Tube sites of Laura Legends and Bella's Toy Chest, both the 1980s and 1990s are now considered vintage, at least in some collecting circles. Yes, that does make me feel old. If you can remember black and white TV, or an age before the internet, you are officially a dinosaur in the eyes of many.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm a diplodocus Paul!
DeleteIs that the presidential rocking chair I wonder?
