Just watching Dr. Terror's House of Horrors, one of my fave Amicus horror anthologies. You know the one, Roy Castle, Christopher Lee, the voodoo jazz beat. Its terrific!
When you've put away the Christmas shopping why not settle down in the snug for some Dr. Terror!

By the way, what do you think of this film?
RIP Kenny Lynch [he died Xmas 2019]
I likee. Seen it twice this year on Horror channel, its on again Xmas day so will either watch or record it. Werewolves, vampires, voodoo, the disembodied hand and homicidal plant. What a combo! Always like the plant segment the most. Good actors, nice end to the film. Top marks from Timmy.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff Timmy. I had a rubber severed hand when I was a kid. I loved that hand. No idea where it went!
DeleteI love Amicus portmanteaus and this 60s example is enjoyable good fun - made all the better by Tubby Hayes voodoo jazz (you wouldn't believe the money the 7 inch vynyl EP goes for !!!)

Great stuff Fenton. I like the voodoo section the best. Roy Castle and Kenny Rogers are just brilliant. I think youre a record collector aren't you!
DeleteI meant Kenny Lynch! Doh!
DeleteI keep an eye out for the odd Mod classic (or obscurity), not least by Kenny Lynch - talented fella sadly missed.
