This is a total of 14 scans from COMIC MEDIA NEWS from March 1973 with an interview with the creator of Modesty Blaise and the short intro story/strip for newspapers starting syndication of the strip.
Back when I fist saw the movie Tomb Raider and Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft I was immediately struck that she would have been a great Modesty Blaise, but without the extra cleavage she wore in the movie to replicate the video game version of the character.
Sadly not to be and the only movie version was one of the worst movies ever made.
Dan Dare, Biggles, Modesty Blaise. Great British characters doomed not to be box office successes.
