Hi Woodsy
I spotted this fine fellow recently in a New Zealand Kmart, and snapped him up.
He is a stapler in the form of a hot dog. Just $3 NZ.
The stapler part is metal, while the base, dog, buns, and tomato sauce are all coloured plastic. His eyes are white, with black pupils, his nose and mouth are also printed in black.
I doubt the squiggle of tomato sauce along the top would stay on for long!
No staples came in the box. Anko brand, a trademark of Kmart Australia, but Made in China. Length just over four inches.

So is Kmart Australia the same Kmart as the one in the States Paul? Is it in NZ?
ReplyDeleteI assume it is the same as the US company, the NZ arm is a branch of the Australian Kmart, which is often the case with large companies that cover both NZ and Australia. There are only a few Kmart stores in NZ, and they do not seem to have the vast range the US shops do - no idea what the ones in Australia are like.
ReplyDeleteHmm. As far as I know there are no Kmarts in the UK but I could be wrong. I've never seen one. Sometimes at Christmas we play a game called Town Country River. Each player is allowed to choose a subject and I choose supermarkets now and then. A letter is chosen and everyone has to write a word for the five subjects chosen - starting with that letter. The more obscure the answer the more chance you have of a high 20 score so I try to go for small-town supermarkets chains like Premier and Mace. I haven't explained this very well!
