Hello Woodsy
Further to MJ Southcoast base's comment on the LONDON LAYOUT post yesterday:
Excellent, did you ever build the Johnny Lightening 1950's Batmobile?
The answer is it's in the pipeline!
Scale was too large for Northern Heights so has sat unbuilt. Here is the Johnny Lightening Batmobile, along with the CORGI version and my own scratch built one. Interesting that I bought the Johnny Lightening one in London on a visit. Didn't see it in the US.
Also two photos off line that show the PYRO car that was the basis for my Batmobile.

That is a really nice Batmobile conversion, using a very basic model. I see from the back of the box there were four die-cast kits in the 1:64 scale Johnny Lightning series: 1940s Comic Batmobile; 1960s Comic Batmobile; 1960s Batboat on trailer; and most interesting, a 1930s Batgyro - an autogyro in Bat colours. All came with a small screwdriver so you could put the models together.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! Johnny Lightning did Batmobile kits that were more like the AMT 1:25 scale models too! I had both the 50's and 60's kits, both a little glitchy in the build but excellent when finished - MJ Southcoast base
ReplyDeleteBrilliant scratch build Terran! I thought you'd bought those batmobiles!
