This is an old pic in my archive of two Project SWORD toys sold in The Saleroom auction in 2013.
The Space Glider and Booster Rocket.
I saved them as examples of what the valuer rated as VG or very good boxes. They do look superb I must say. Not a blemish, tear or crease in sight. Very few of my own Project SWORD toy boxes are as good as this, maybe a couple., so I'm always chuffed to see beautiful condition boxes like these.
What's after 'very good': near mint and mint?
Are your toy boxes very good or above readers? Does it influence what you buy or collect?
I'm surprised at your description of these boxes as having 'not a blemish, tear or crease in sight', Woodsy. Just at a glance I can see at least one (small) tear, and loads of creases. Get that appointment booked at Vision Express right away, Grandpa.
ReplyDeleteAs it happens I did go to Specsavers Kid! My new glasses are ready for collection this Saturday! Not a moment too soon it would seem! ha ha
DeleteProject SWORD boxes are notoriously flimsy so finding them even in the condition pictured takes time and patience. I have tried to find VG+ or better boxes at one go rather than going through unnecessary and costly upgrades, which is why I am still on the lookout for a couple of boxes which are not that rare, just rare to come across in that grade range.
