In between making a new model I've upgraded my old SpaceX Photonic Space Station home-made toy I did 5 years ago.
I've replaced the black radar tip with a more original-looking blue one [a biro stopper] and re-made the toy stand. It's now shorter, has a round topper [a draught] and its all painted white. The draught top is magnetic too so the toy, also magnetic now, should in theory simply stand up straight on it. I'm prepared for more accidents!
You may remember that the lunar 'base' of the support I sourced from a Waddingtons Blast-off game spare parts supplier online. Works a treat!
Since doing these changes I've also shortened the overly long radar rod.
There's a lot more I could fiddle with on this model - add a SpaceX II sticker, make much more original-looking mini-jets, paint the funnel metallic red and the main body blue - but I'm done with it now and happy enough the way I got it five years ago, my first real attempt at a decent home-made SpaceX toy [see labels below].
