I picked up a sack of old loose toy soldiers last month.
Its been great fun sorting through and ID'ing them!
Do you recognise anything?

[looks like my soldiers in the top photo might be from this set too!]
AMBUSH Blues and the Greys Game [Thanks Mike]
The first pic shows what look like Airfix 1/32 8th Army figures amongst the rich assortment of combatants. That's one fantastic sack of plastic you picked up there, Woodsy. I'm impressed. Was it a lucky car boot find? :)
ReplyDeleteYep, a lucky find at the local boot sale in the summer Tone and just when I'd given up!
DeleteHi Woodsy I reckon some of the landscaped bits may be from a game called "Ambush" which had either cowboys or cavalry soldiers which you could hide and knock down with plastic bullets. Ring any bells??
ReplyDeleteI've had a look Mike. Thanks for the tip. I can see Ambush Blues and the Greys but need to look further. The two barges are marked NASTA. I'll dig a bit.
DeleteThe little barges are pontoons from the Airfix Pontoon Bridge kit. They are useful as small boats, though. Nice selection of figures there.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brian. I'll check out that Airix set.
