Here's their current U.S. website
With a little bit of history (pictorial, too)
I've got dozens of different Fauni trolls, handmade ones in different sizes, various banks and a plentiful of other merchandise. However, the Atelier Fauni brand is nowadays most famous for their Moomin Family made back in the 50's and 60's. They command considerable sums today.

That's an unusual and interesting piece with some excellent links, Arto. Sounds as if you have your own Troll sanctuary :)
ReplyDeleteI recall seeing a Tivvy or two in the sixties, but the plastic bodied, naked ones were more prominent here. There was a big resurgence a few years ago of them, resulting in more floures ent hairdo and an animated film. Its fascinating to look at the mythological background to these creatures, presumably originating in tales of ogres and hearth elves such as vodyanoi and knockers. The film Troll Hunter is one of my favourites!
ReplyDeleteHi, I’m new to this site, but is there a way I could look at the troll dolls you have? I’ve been trying to find more information about these trolls, but it has been hard since the mother and her daughter have both passed away. :( my partner loves these trolls and I’m trying to find a way to get her one and would appreciate any information you could share!
ReplyDeleteHi, thank you for your message. You'll find everything you need here
