They all heard the Moonbase Gurgle siren.
SpaceX Junior is assembled for action.
The mission: to find the missing star.
Cruiser 1 was readied for lunch
Lift off!
First job: check the sunken treasure chest
Just jewels here. no star!
Time to go
Next stop, Jurassic Park.
The residents are hungry!
That poor cabbie!
Cruiser 1 spots the star.
Stuck in the throat of a T. Rex!
Cleaned and shined, its returned to its orbit
Cruiser 1 and its crew, the Alpha Stars, are given shelf leave.
Their next mission: locate the stolen atomic sub last seen in Kiel on the Baltic coast in the 1980's. This postcard was found in Moonbase next to the Hobbit tapes.
Aah, great stuff Woodsy. You're Grandson is a lucky boy having a Granddad that's a bigger kid than he is! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Scoop. Yep, I'm enjoying all the new toys in the house! ha ha
DeleteVery imaginative and evocative, Woodsy! You could start a Moonbase Junior subsidiary with stories like that. :)
ReplyDeleteNot to dispel the magic, but U-995 is neither atomic nor disappeared. I've been inside and it's impressive. Virtual tour here for the interested:

Poetic licence Paul. Glad you liked the story.
DeleteNice little story. Amusing and a ray of sunshine.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or is your Cruiser 1 missing the engine cover?
Thanks Lance. I like that, a ray of sunshine! Yep, this Cruiser 1 has done one too many cruises. Its cover is lost in action [or maybe my bits drawer!]
