Andy B's Dan Dare Day with Sydney Jordan and Don Harley

Hi Woodsy,

As there has been some interest in Dan Dare on the blog recently, I thought these old snaps might be of interest.

They were taken at an Eagle/Dan Dare related day a few years ago. 

The Dan Dare models are by a chap called Sid Clark, I don't think he will mind my sending pictures of them, - after all, he did use my plans to build some of them from! 

Here is a picture of Sydney Jordan (at left), who drew the space strip "Jeff Hawke" for a good number of years in the Express, while to the right is Don Harley, who not only illustrated Dan Dare, but also a few Thunderbirds episodes for TV21. 

These exhibitions always have displays of old toys- with some great box art.
