This is another short film made on my smarty phone.
A creepy mini-story for Christmas.
Once again it stars the natural acting talents of Blue the Moonbase mutt.
This one, The Mask, uses a prop I bought in Whitby about 15 years ago. In fact I bought 4 of them for my old vintage toy stall. This is the only one left, a hard plastic Dracula mask. Its difficult to date but it looks and feels like the 1970's.
The opening titles of the short were inspired by the yuletide lights at the start of the movie Black Christmas from 1974. The jingle bells were inspired by a similar jingling in the Christmas segment of Tales from the Crypt entitled "And all Through the House" from 1972.
There is also an unexpected echo of the original Evil Dead II when Ash rises from the forest rain-puddle demonised and growling as pictured here.
We hope you enjoy The Mask.
Happy Christmask,
Woodsy and Blue.
Its Drackleea!
