Popcorn abounds at Moonbase Central. It's what the regolith's made of!
Further films I've seen of late are:
Nothing but the Night: an odd flick, possibly a Hammer as it starred the gruesome twosome of Lee and Cushing. It also featured the ample charms of the British Marylin Monroe, Diana Dors.
Essentially a film about witchcraft.. I think. Although I'm not sure as very little happens. Diana drives round in a small car with a black cat's face painted on its bonnet .. or hood to our friends stateside.
Like the similarly unusual movie version of Neither the Sea nor the Sand by erstwhile newsreader Gordon Honeycomb, Nothing but the Night is hard to label and fully understand. At least if you're me!
Something Wicked This Way Comes: a Ray Bradbury tale, this is a flick I've had on my LoveFilm rental list for years. Sadly it was never on offer and I have only even now I've only been able to watch snippets on you tube. It remains a tantalising mystery which is not coming this way.
The World, the Flesh and the Devil: an intriguing title, this black and white flick fits neatly into the last man on Earth sub-genre. It may even be part of its beginnings like the Omega Man.
The World ... concerns three lonely survivors, who eventually attempt to live together in an empty New York. The two men do what all men do when there's only one girl, they scrap in the street. Apart from some crooning by leading man Harry Belafonte not much else happens. I was impressed with the Big Apple ghost-town they created. Not sure how they did it. Maybe filmed in NYC in the wee small hours?
What have you watched of late?
