There were small jack plugs everywhere in the Sixties.
The most common was the radio ear plugs jack that came with transistor radios. They were the USB's of their day.
The only toy I can think of that used them though was the Billy Blastoff spaceman by Eldon.
There was a small neat jack plug attached to both the TV and the ray gun, which I adored as a kid especially the satisfying click that the jack made as at went in the hole.
Can you think of any more Jack plug toys?
Our old friend, Gilbert's Moon McDare springs to mind, Woodsy. His Buzzing Ray Gun accessory had two tiny jack plugs which could be pushed into the battery operated backpack to power it up for those hazardous missions :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Moon McDare Tone! Forgot about him! I suppose he was Bill Blastoff's older brother! He had a dog didn't he? Moon McMutt?
