The ultimate resource about Explorer 12 on the net and probably anywhere is Joe Lang's blog Explorer 12. Its great masthead is featured below.
I came across Joe's blog when it first started and our very own Bill B contributed many items to Joe's growing archive of toys and merchandise.
Sadly dormant for some years, Joe's site remains the number one source of information on the range including variations of the toys from around the world, always a fascinating subject for collectors.
Today's celebration on MC is inspired by Joe's blog and hopefully rekindles the explorer flame in some small way.
I think Joes site became dormant largely because hes got almost all the information available on it! what we need is a new angle. Woodsy?
ReplyDeleteYep, Joe's blog is the real McCoy. I hope today's bash can add a little something to the exploration!
DeleteI usually update the site when I acquire more Explorers of when I discover more info. Haven't seen anything new in ages though and now with the end of BHS we may never get any more info. Happy E12 day everyone!
ReplyDeleteGood to have you along for the day Mr.Jay. It's a celebration of your inspirational blog and of the explorer spirit that created toys like these. I've come across a couple of interesting thingsthis year and these are posted during today. I've made links to your blog too for readers who want to know more. Hope you don't mind.
DeleteWas the Woolworths Explorer series just the one vehicle Joe? Did they do anything else in the range?
