Most white plastic space toys would seem to theoretically go with Major Matt Mason.
One largish spaceship was the Fisher Place Alpha Probe made for the company's Adventure People range of figures.
Although the Adventure People figures were smaller than Matt Mason I wonder if Matt could sit or lie in the red compartment. Does anyone know?
Another Adventure People vehicle fit for a Major was the Alpha Star and trailer.
Could Matt Mason sit in either compartment comfortably?
Anyone know?
I think Adventure People vehicles are too small, cool as they are.The Major is closer to 6 inches tall while the Adventure People are more in line with classic Star Wars 3 3/4 inch figures.I had an idea;He Man and the Masters of the Universe are more in scale with The Major and some of the MOTU vehicles are decidedly spaceship like, although they don't look like NASA inspired designs. Do we have a match? Also, I've seen the very large, very expensive TIE Fighter for the Star Wars Black series, which is in 6 inch scale.Major Matt would be looking fierce in that ride!
ReplyDeleteSounds good Brian. I'd not thought of MOTU toys. The Major could join up with Hr Man and do battle with Skeletor. In fact Callisto woyld look good on the Battle Cat. They're both green! No-one was as tall as Cap Lazer I don't think. Actually I can't think of a single action figure in the 1960's who was as tall as the Captain. His stiff plastic body reminds me of the later Energised figures by Remco, I think, like Batman and Spiderman. They had battery operated string pulleys and were pretty cool.
DeleteCome to think of it, Any 5- 6 inch scale toy lines would do;Thunder Cats, Ninja Turtles,Brave Starr, Sectaurs,Silver Hawks... the combinations are almost infinite! Also , NECA recently made a 6 inch scale space ship for their Predator line.
