I picked this up sometime last year. Has this set already been identified? If so, sorry guyz, it just means I haven't had the time to look for it anywhere..There's a small logo at the bottom left of the front artwork that appears to read 'LP' so that's what I'm callin' it unless it's in fact something else.
Cheers
Ed B.
Deffo LP of Hong Kong, Ed. Got two out of a series of four (704 A-D) I believe. I like these miniature dioramas a lot, but they are quite hard to come by in great condition. Brittle beauties!
ReplyDeleteThanx Arto! 4 huh? Looks like I'll need to to keep an eye out for the other three!
DeleteRight... Ed has 704A, and I have 704C which has a mini-MMM Crawler instead of Ed's Mercury capsule. Which ones do you have Arto?

Will check next week when back from a short sejour Paul
DeleteSpace Exploring check-up complete. I have the same sets as you guys, 704A and 704C. However, the 704A has actually "B" originally printed in the white box after the item number, and that B has been manually corrected as "A" by a blue stamp. The contents are similar to Ed's 704A. So does the 704B with differing contents exist as well?
ReplyDeleteI would imagine so, Arto, if only because there's a C. :)
ReplyDeleteYour stamped box sounds like the result of a shortage of boxes for the A set, and it seems they took the difference between sets pretty seriously then!

Yes Paul thought so too. That would be the most natural explanation. So I'll still have to find both "proper A" and B box, completist that I am ;-) Not to mention D!
ReplyDeleteit's goin' to be a challenge finding the remaining sets! Thanx for all the info guys!
