Looking at this early illustration of a Moon Bus from 1963 I couldn't help thinking it has more than a passing resemblance to a tin plate toy I've seen.
This is it, the Exploration Train by Cragstan / Sankei. The box art above has a similar feel to the black and white illustration. The toy space loco looks so cool. Anyone got one?
For comparison, here's LP's brilliant version of the Moon Bus. In my opinion it has the closest likeness to the black and white illustration at the top.
