TWO MORE GUESTS FOR THE PROJECT JOHNSON UFO EVENT

 Century 21 special effects assistant and model make, Alan Shubrook is attending the UFO Location tour in May, along with John Levine, who played an Interceptor pilot in the UFO episode, 'Close Up'.

Mr Levine is best known to Doctor Who fans as  Sergeant Benson , a member of the 'U.N.I.T. family' during Jon Pertwee's tenure as the Doctor.

John Levine is a fan favourite, and always popular at the many events I've seen him at.

Pink Explorer

 Earlier in the year Arto spotted this fabulous pink toy Space Explorer.

The pink colour is similar to the Roxy Moon car.

It boasts the 'seated' pilots found in a number of Hong Kong space toys.

Although incomplete, it's reminiscent of the beautiful JR21 X-series X-90.

GARY RAYMOND TO ATTEND UFO EVENT

 Glad to see that Gary Raymond, who played Col. Grey in the UFO episode, The Man Who Came Back' is attending the Project Johnson UFO event and location tour in May.

Mr Raymond is probably best remembered for his film role in 'Jason and The Argonauts', and as Jack Moffitt in the American series, The Rat Patrol.

For me, my interest in Mr Raymond are in his appearances in the British ITC series of the sixties and the seventies like The Persuaders!, Jason King, The Saint and The Sentimental Agent, and although not ITC, The New Avengers, and whether he has any memories of those.

Black Hole Invaders

Another game new to me is this Black Hole Invaders.

I like the box art but they missed a trick with simple tiddlywink playing parts.

Anyone know this game?

KELLOGGS SUGAR SMACKS THUNDERBIRD FIGURES

 

Photos of my old plastic Thunderbirds figures, that were given away free in packets of Kelloggs Sugar Smacks breakfast cereals towards the end of 1966.

There were six in the set, and came in four different colours – red, yellow, green and blue, although there are slight  colour variations. I’m obviously missing a blue example.

Here's Scott Tracy, although the figure does bear a passing resemblance to Gordon Tracy  to me.

There's no mistaking that's Brains.

Jeff Tracy. Not that the best likeness, but his coat gives it away.

Lady Penelope, who is actually an imposter in the collection. The same figures could also be found in packs of Tom Smith’s Christmas Crackers. The only difference is the name and date stamp under the stands. So, it's no problem to mix and match.

A pretty good likeness for Parker, thanks to the original puppet being  heavily caricatured .

The Hood in a familiar pose.. Again, a fairly good likeness in my opinion.
