Allegheny Anyone?

I've never been a big train fan - other than the fab BiG BiG trains! - but old boxed sets like this Lionel are just so great to look at, never mind play with. 

I love the single name of this set, Allegheny. Where's that then?

I adored my Mini Robot as a kid. I remember it so well, that classic design and those fabulous walking feet.

A friend gave me hers about twenty years ago. The Mini Robot returned.

Magna!

 We took the Grandkids to Magna today, the steel-making kids' centre in Rotherham.

With Fire, Earth, Water and Air displays, I really liked the fire gallery.

Another bit was the 

Argon Bubbler 

Seeing the name reminded me of the legendary unproduced Mad Bubbler from the LJN Thunder ats toy figure range, a prototype looking like .....

Anyone got any Thundercats toys?

Magna was a modern kids' science lab and as interactive as they come.

One of my fave exhibits was this air ball demo!

I've said before that the Sears Bandai line are some of the most beautiful tin toys ever.

I mean look at the cruising lines of these Turnpike trucks. They're so Thunderbirds!
