Woodsy and Fellow Moonbasers,

Just to keep up with the current thread, here's my one-&-only multi-wheeled vehicle which you actually posted some months back. The maker is of this centipede-like crawler/excavator is unknown. The battery cover is missing and that could have been where the maker's hallmark may have been.

Google Lensing Ed's vehicle threw up these rather cool small images on Yahoo Japan, which I couldn't pursue further because its Japanese users only.

Is this Ed's multiple vehicle, namely the BIG 18?

FROST ON MARS!

Just watching the news that morning frost has been seen on the mountains of Mars!

Polar ice was known about but equatorial frost wasn't. 

How incredibly cool is that!

One hundred and fifty thousand tons of ice every sunrise at the top of the highest peaks in the solar system!

If you had all of Gerry Anderson's vehicles, including Project SWORD and chuck in SpaceX/ Golden Astronaut too, which ones would you use to a. get to Mars and b. mine that ice at the top of giant mountains?

Is there a better toy space fleet you could send? Explorer12? Starcom! Multimac?

Current spacecraft will take 8 months to get there. How fast could you be?

Astro Launch and the Vigilante

I've always liked the Astro Launch toy in it's black and white design. Very Matt Mason. The box is like a Haynes manual! It's too recent for me to have had as a kid. What's it's programmed sequence do I wonder?

This old auction lot also came with an Italian boxed version, Vigilante. The ship is thinner with more colour to it. Which do you prefer readers?

The first toy on the left is the Project SWORD Scramble Bug, a favourite of mine as a kid!

A New Trend?

I'm noticing a new negative trend on eBay UK, winning bidders simply not paying and waiting for eBay to cancel their sale after about five days.

Not sure what's going on here. Non payment used to be a total no no on eBay, when I first started up. Seems it's accepted behaviour now!

For a seller it's a a real nuisance and a waste of valuable sales time. 

Grrrr. Rant over.

This Space Crawler, seen on auction a while back, fits the bill.

It looks great and very flexible.

Looking at the cable it must be remote-controlled.
